BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM)– A 46-year-old who should have been keeping a low profile is in custody.
Battle Creek police said the suspect had threatened an employee at a gas station near Capital and Columbia avenues over the weekend, and then returned there early Monday morning.
That prompted a member of the staff to call police, who immediately determined the man was wanted on a misdemeanor drug warrant. Officers also determined that the man and woman who were with him were also wanted on warrants of their own.
Lt. Jim Martens said a search of the 46-year-old resulted in the seizure of crack cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana.
All three ended up in the Calhoun County Jail.
