GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO-AM) — Vice Presidential Candidate Tim Kaine’s wife, Anne Holton, stopped in Grand Rapids for a talk with educators Wednesday. She is an attorney, a former judge and, until recently, was the Secretary Of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
She is just one of many from the presidential campaigns visiting Michigan this week.
New York Billionaire Donald Trump will be making his fifth stop in the state since his nomination at a 5 p.m. rally Friday at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
The Clinton campaign has been relying on their small army of surrogates. Rev. Jesse Jackson was stumping for Clinton at voter registration events in Detroit on Tuesday.
Chelsea Clinton will be in Traverse City on Friday.
On Saturday, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley will make five stops in Michigan for the Clinton campaign.
O’Malley, who ran for the White House himself this time, will attend an event for young professionals at the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange downtown Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. He will also keynote the State Democratic Party’s Best of the West Dinner at the Air Zoo Saturday evening.
And a new entry onto the schedule: Angela Walker, The Vice-Presidential Candidate of the U.S. Socialist Party, will speak at the Fire Historical and Collective Arts Collaborative on Portage Street at Dewey Saturday at 6 p.m.
