LANSING (WKZO-AM) — Bi-partisan legislation that would allow undocumented immigrants to obtain a driver’s license has been introduced in Lansing.
They were stripped of licenses in 2008, but a number of other states do permit them to drive.
Last night Kalamazoo County Commissioner Kevin Wordleman announced he planned to seek a county resolution supporting the bills.
Not having that license prevents them from getting medical care, library cards, and just driving to work or taking kids to school means risking capture and deportation.
