PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — Investigators in Portage are looking for the cause of a fire in a mobile home Monday night that destroyed the residence on the city’s east side and left a firefighter with a minor injury.
Portage Public Safety says they were dispatched just before 9 p.m. to the fully-involved fire at the Colonial Acres Mobile Home Park at Kilgore and Sprinkle roads.
The occupants of the mobile home were not present when the fire broke out.
It took crews about 35 minutes to contain the blaze.
