ROYALTON TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A Niles man is dead and Berrien County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the motorist who struck his car and then fled from the scene.
Deputies know who the hit and run driver is and they suspect alcohol may have been the reason.
A passenger fled with him, but two others remained in the wreck of his 1999 Honda.
His car collided with a 1998 Buick driven by 36-year-old Jason Ransom, who was dead at the scene of the early Sunday morning crash on Scottdale Road just south of St. Joseph in Royalton Township.
