STURGIS (WKZO-AM) — A 28-year-old man is jailed after St. Joseph County Sheriff’s deputies found methamphetamine, marijuana and $9,000 in suspected stolen Michigan and Indiana lottery tickets in his vehicle during a traffic stop near the city’s downtown area.
The discovery was made late Tuesday on Maple Street near Chicago Street after officers pulled the vehicle over for defective equipment.
The driver was booked into custody on on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule narcotic.
The K-9 unit of the Sturgis Police Department assisted at the scene, according to a press release.
