KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — CoreLogic says home prices in the Kalamazoo-Portage area increased six percent in July compared to figures from a year ago.
That matches the increase seen nationally and extends past the statewide average increase in Michigan of 5.3 percent.
At over 11 percent, Washington saw the largest statewide home price increase. Connecticut saw the only statewide decline.
The financial information firm is forecasting area home prices will increase another 5.4 percent by next July.
The foreclosure rate has also been trending lower.
