KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Niles man has been charged with first degree home invasion and first degree criminal sexual conduct and other charges in Kalamazoo District court after he allegedly let himself in through the unlocked door of an off-campus apartment on Escape Drive and assaulted the women who lived there.
. WMU Police claim 19-year old Stephen Casper told police he was just looking for a place to sleep.
Police say the crime happened at about 4 a.m. Sunday.
He is being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail on $35,000 bond.
Conviction on any of the most serious charges against him could result in up to life in prison.
