KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM)– A 25-year-old Kalamazoo resident has been charged with felonious assault on a police officer for throwing a bottle that hit a PSO in the head, as he was doing traffic duty at Euclid and West Michigan Avenue.
The officer was admitted to Bronson Hospital for treatment but is expected to recover.
The offender was identified by Public Safety but escaped through the crowds that had gathered just west of campus.
Officers were assigned later in the day to track him down and arrested him in the 1200 block of California early Sunday afternoon and booked him into the County Jail.
