BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) A 46-year-old Battle Creek man is recovering from a knife wound after he was jumped by a robber as he was walking along Elm St. near Van Buren just after 2 a.m. Monday.
The robber leapt from the bushes and yelled “give me what you got”.
What the victim gave him was a fight. The 46-year-old’s act of resistance was enough to scare off the robber, who fled empty handed.
That’s when the victim realized he had been stabbed in the arm.
The victim was taken to Bronson Battle Creek for stitches.
The would-be robber is still at large.
