BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — a 32-year-old panhandler was arrested after he snatched a $20 bill out of the hand of a woman that he had already solicited several times in the 400 block of Capital Avenue Northeast.
Police say it happened Saturday night.
He once again approached her after coming out of a convenience store, holding her car door open for her.
When she reached in and gave him 55 cents, he reached over and grabbed the $20 and ran.
She called police, who tracked him down. He claimed he needed the money to buy crack.
