KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Cooper Township man has been fined and banned from hunting for the next five years after a tip lead to a search of his home and the discovery of a deer that was shot out of season.
29-year-old Craig Laws was initially charged with seven misdemeanors, but that was whittled down to three in a plea bargain.
Laws had already had his license revoked after a similar incident in 2013.
The search of his home turned up the deer, evidence that he had purchased licenses illegally and Marijuana.
The drug case was handed over to State Police and Law also pled guilty to possessing and manufacturing .
