STURGIS (WKZO-AM) — A Bronson man is dead after a violent motorcycle crash just east of Sturgis.
Investigators with the Michigan State Police say his motorcycle slammed into the back of a pickup that had slowed to make a turn into a driveway along U.S. 12 in St. Joseph County.
It happened at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Troopers say Zachariah Himebaugh, 28, may have been speeding westbound on his 2012 Kawasaki when the collision occurred.
The driver of the pickup and his passenger were not injured.
The highway was closed and traffic was rerouted for nearly three hours for the investigation and cleanup.
