MIDDLEVILLE (WKZO-AM) — An autopsy is planned on the body of a garbage truck driver after he crashed near the Cider Mill Mobile Home Park in Barry County.
Sgt. Jason Sixberry has released the name of the driver. They say 32-year-old Patrick Lee Rousseau of Grandville was found by passersby still behind the wheel of the truck.
Barry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched early Thursday afternoon to Tanglewood Drive near Middleville and learned on the way that Rousseau was unresponsive and bleeding from the mouth.
He was removed by the truck by the citizens who began CPR until first responders arrived and took over.
They suspect that some sort of unrelated medical problem caused the man’s death and the crash.
They say that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors, but it remains under investigation.
