KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — After a week of competition and hundreds of elimination games, the No. 1 seeds in both the 16- and 18-year-old divisions at the USTA Boys National Championships at Stowe Stadium have been handed championship trophies.
They cut a swath through the field of the best young tennis players in the country.
16-year-old Lucas Greif and 18-year-old Michael Mmoh did not lose a single set on their way to the finals. They topped the week off by winning the championships in straight sets too.
Mmoh gets an automatic invite to the U.S. Open with the victory.
