KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A walk-on football player at Western Michigan University received a big surprise from a Hollywood heavy-hitter over the weekend.
Rocky Balboa himself, Sylvester Stallone, presented the scholarship to Kasey Carson in a video played after a team practice.
Sly had strong words for the Battle Creek native.
“It’s taking the blows, getting up, taking it to your opponent,” Stallone said. “Sometimes, you’re just so tired that you don’t think you can do it, but you just find that reserve in there.”
The redshirt sophomore linebacker played nine games for the Broncos last season.
