KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Goodwill Industries has announced the winners of its first annual “Palletpalooza” competition.
They asked interested groups and individuals to take the materials from used wooden pallets and construct whatever they wanted. The finished products were then judged in four categories.
Four finalists were picked by public vote and an overall winner was crowned this weekend by a panel of judges.
Susan Rall says they picked the “Coop-De-Ville” built by Mark Louis. It’s a small barn made from pallet boards.
She says they received 70 entries from participants all over the community.
Goodwill said they will do it all over again next year. It’s was a fundraiser for the non-profit.
