KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Warrants are being sought against the owner of a pit bull that attacked a Kalamazoo man late last month, mauling his arms.
Ron Bardo, 60, was pedaling a bike along Egleston Avenue when he said the dog came out of nowhere and pulled him off the bike. The dog continued to attack him until a public safety officer arrived and shot the dog to death.
Bardo still hasn’t recovered use of his arms after extensive surgery to close the wounds.
Kalamazoo Public Safety says they received information from a concerned citizen identifying the 62-year-old owner of the dog.
The investigation file has been submitted to prosecutors for a decision on charges.
