BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek police are looking for a bank robber who stuck up the Fifth-Third Bank branch on Capital Avenue Southwest late Saturday morning.
The male was obviously overdressed for a hot summer day, complete with winter coat and gloves.
Despite the heavy gear, they were able to determine that he was about 5-foot-10 with a skinny build, a day’s growth of facial hair and dark pants and shoes.
No weapon was seen, but he implied he had one.
The robber fled on foot in an unknown direction. A tracking dog lost the scent.
It was reportedly the second bank robbery at that branch in a month. The FBI has joined the investigation.
