ALLEGAN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — Rain finally fell, ending the longest period without rain in many west Michigan Communities. It fell harder and for longer in some areas than others, and came through in a series of waves.
Meteorologist Mark Sekelsky at the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids says they also confirmed a tornado touched down for about two-minutes near Riverside Road near Douglas and took down a pole barn.
He says it was ranked as an F-0 with maximum wind speeds of 80 MPH and was only on the ground about two minutes.
There were also trees knocked down and scattered power outages primarily in Allegan and Barry Counties.
There were no reports of injuries.
