KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — It’s been a while since the Kalamazoo Strong organization held a fundraiser for the victims of the February shooting spree and the cycling tragedy in Cooper Township, but they have one scheduled for Saturday.
It’s a golf event at Milham Park, but you don’t have to golf or even be a golfer to attend. It’s also designed for spectators.
Rachel Kaiser said there will be raffles, other forms of entertainment and contests for kids. There will also be a DJ and a food tent.
The golf course also plans to give free lessons.
Tee time for the event is at 10 a.m. at the city owned golf-course on Lover’s Lane, just north of Kilgore Road.
