KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo teenager will be in district court on Thursday to answer to allegations that he took a potshot at three females after a dispute in the 1300 block of Clinton Street.
Responding officers got a hostile reception from the crowd and attempted to calm things down. Witnesses said that the three females had sought out the 17-year-old male to confront him over a previous assault.
As they were leaving in a vehicle, it’s alleged he fired a shot in their general direction. No injuries were reported.
Officers were able to identify the teenager. They obtained a warrant charging the suspect with seven counts including felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon and three gun felonies.
They tracked the suspect to the 12000 block of East V Avenue near Vicksburg and took him into custody.
He will remain in the Kalamazoo County Jail until arraignment and a bond hearing Thursday.
