PAW PAW (WKZO-AM) — Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies call on their K-9 partners to do things they are unwilling or unable to do themselves — like sniff out drugs, take down and subdue armed and dangerous criminals and search buildings.
Tico has been on patrol for two years. Now, when he is commanded to go into a dangerous situation, he will have some protection.
Thanks to a group called “Vested Interest in K9s” and Sharon Peters of Grosse Pointe Shores, Tico has a new bullet and stab resistant vest.
