BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek police are looking for the gunman who shot a man in the first block of High Street early Saturday.
Officers responded to a complaint about gunshots at about 2:15 a.m. A short time later the victim appeared at the emergency room at Bronson Battle Creek with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was stabilized and transferred to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for emergency surgery.
The gunman has not been identified, but the investigation is ongoing.
Police are asking for help from anyone in the community who may have information about the case.
The victim was last listed in stable condition.
