KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A one-car crash on U.S. 131 near the Western Michigan University Business Park has killed the driver.
Kalamazoo Public Safety was dispatched at just about 4 p.m. Saturday and discovered that a vehicle had gone out of control and rolled over. The driver of the vehicle was apparently ejected from the spinning wreck before it came to rest in the median.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers.
The crash and the subsequent investigation blocked traffic on the busy highway in both directions until 5:30 p.m. to accomodate the investigation and clean-up. Traffic was slowed well into the weekend.
The victim’s name is being withheld until family members are notified.
The cause of the crash remains under investigtion.
