KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A mugging early Saturday morning in the 100 block of North Rose Street near the Radisson has left a 37-year-old Kalamazoo Township man nursing bumps and bruises and two young men in custody in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
Public Safety responded to the crime scene at about 3:30 and found the victim, who was treated on the scene.
He was able to give the officers a description of the young black male who assaulted him.
Based on that description, Public Safety officers spotted and stopped a 17-year-old and a 22-year-old near Frank and North Church St.
Both suspects were found to be in possession of items stolen from the victim.
They were arrested for unarmed robbery and booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail until they can be arraigned.
