GANGES TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A 93-year-old woman is dead after drowning in Lake Michigan near Ganges Township.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office says Elizabeth Bennett lived near the scene of her death and swam in the lake on a regular basis.
Bennett was pulled from the body of water late Friday morning and was pronounced dead after efforts to revive her on the shore failed.
Investigators say a medical condition may be to blame. The investigation remains ongoing.
