VICKSBURG (WKZO-AM) — Some of the oldest and most-historic buildings in Vicksburg will be on display this Saturday.
Ten buildings have been selected for the first-annual “Hidden Vicksburg” event.
“All of these buildings were built in the 1870s or 1880s except one,” Vicksburg Downtown Development Authority Director Kathleen Hoyle said. “Many of these buildings have never really been seen by the public.”
“The architecture up there is amazing,” Hoyle said. “Some of them have been ballrooms, and we actually even have the old, historic jail and an old boiler room (on display).”
Tour tickets are available at Vicksburg’s cultural arts and community centers. They’ll also be sold on the day of the event.
