KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — They’ve been holding National Night Out events for decades across the country, but it may mean more this year because of all the violence and turmoil that has been captured on video.
Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Pauli Matyas said the event is designed to foster exactly what the nation needs right now: Better relations and communications between the public and police.
Matyas said Sheriff Richard Fuller will be traveling around from event to event today in the county’s mobile emergency response center.
Information on events in the city can be found here.
