ALLEGAN (WKZO-AM) — Police in Allegan say they have found the 1999 Chrysler Town and Country minivan allegedly driven by a woman they claim stole a purse from a local business.
They say they have video surveillance of Amanda Brooks-Kolberg grabbing a purse that contained a large amount of money, then heading out of the establishment and fleeing the scene in the minivan. They aren’t saying where it was located, but they did say they found some recently-purchased items inside.
The rightful owner of the purse was planning to make a down payment on a house.
Police say Brooks-Kolberg may be traveling with a man identified as Mikeal Heckman. Investigators know she frequents the Allegan, Pullman and Kalamazoo areas.
