CHICAGO (WKZO-AM) — Gas prices have fallen back below $2 a gallon.
Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com says fill up soon, because the savings may not be around for long.
DeHaan said, while prices at the pump have dropped 20 cents over the past week, wholesale prices have only fallen a couple of cents. That means prices could spike at any point.
Unless there is a major hurricane or some other calamity that puts a crimp in the oil pipeline, DeHaan said there is nothing to keep prices from falling even lower this fall.
Stocks of gas and crude oil remain at near record levels.
Regular is selling for about $2.02 a gallon in Kalamazoo. Some stations are selling below $1.90 a gallon.
