KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A 36-year-old man in jailed after the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team seized over $300,000 of crystal methamphetamine, guns and large sums of cash from his car in Kalamazoo Township.
The arrest was the result of a month-long KVET trafficking investigation and surveillance work that Saturday.
Investigators say Buddy Parker was transporting over five pounds of the drug from California into Kalamazoo County at the time of his arrest. In addition to the two handguns found in his vehicle, he was also found in possession of a third handgun while being arrested.
Drug enforcement officers found more meth, guns and cash during a search of Parker’s home in Fairfield, Ohio. He had previously be convicted on multiple drug and weapons-related felonies.
Parker was arraigned on multiple drug and weapons-related felonies Monday. He’s being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail on $2 million bond.
