PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A routine traffic stop became a drug bust when Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies realized they had just pulled over a mobile methamphetamine lab.
Deputies stopped the vehicle at 1:25 a.m. Sunday on Morgan Road near Purdy Drive in Pennfield Township.
The three occupants were detained. After interrogation, it was determined that a 40-year-old man from Pennfield Township was responsible for the one-pot meth lab. He was sitting with in the back seat as the vehicle was traveling along.
He was arrested for operating and maintaining a methamphetamine lab and for violating parole. The other two occupants were released.
