CLEVELAND (WKZO-AM) — Donald Trump delegates say they were pleased with the controversial speech the business mogul gave when he accepted the Republican nomination for president on Thursday.
West Michigan delegate Matt Hall was on the Quicken Loans Arena floor for the speech, which clocked in at 75 minutes.
“I really thought he hit a home run with his message,” Hall said.
And he’s ready to see the billionaire take that message nationwide.
“I thought he really presented himself as the law and order candidate,” Hall said. “Someone who is going to defend our borders.”
Pundits criticized the address for being too long and negative, but Hall says it struck the right chord with conservatives.
Democrats will hold their convention next week in Philadelphia.
