KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — It’s not the first time a car has burst into flames spontaneously.
At about 2:15 a.m. Friday, Kalamazoo Public Safety was dispatched to the Drakes Pond Apartments where they found two cars fully engulfed in flames, putting off so much heat they were threatening to set other cars on fire.
Officers hit the cars with extinguishers and quickly put out the flames.
Two cars were destroyed and two others damaged but repairable.
Investigators are still looking for the cause.
