KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety had to deal with an angry crowd this weekend.
Officers were confronted when they tried to break up a party in the 900 block of Hayes Park at 3 a.m. Sunday. They found themselves facing a crowd of 150 people who became openly hostile.
The revellers started throwing bottles at the officers, who were able to successfully disperse the crowd without any injury to citizens or officers.
Police were acting on complaints from the neighbors who said the partiers were not just making a lot of noise, but also trespassing in other yards and preventing traffic from getting through the neighborhood.
There were no reports of any arrests.
