KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Thanks to tips from citizens, the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team has smoked out a nest of violent offenders and armed robbery suspects in the 1300 block of Alamo Hills Drive.
The men are believed to be responsible for a spike in robberies and burglaries in the area.
Investigators set up a surveillance of the subjects and spotted several who were wanted on outstanding felony warrants.
KVET and officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety secured the exterior and called on the occupants to surrender Tuesday. All came out without incident.
A search of the home turned up evidence of recent robberies, three handguns and a shotgun.
Three occupants in their late teens are being held on outstanding warrants and they expect more charges will be filed once they have completed their investigation.
