PORTER TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Two 14-year-olds are hospitalized in Indiana after their golf cart was struck by a pickup southeast of the town of Union in rural Porter Township.
It happened before 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Cass County Sheriff’s detectives say the girl operating the golf cart failed to yield for the truck while turning from Hilltop Drive onto Wayne Street.
The driver of the pickup, 75-year-old Max Brown, and his passenger were not hurt and were wearing seatbelts when the collision occurred.
Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
