KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety says distracted driving is to blame for a wreck at South Westnedge Avenue and Howard Street.
Investigators say a 19-year-old in an eastbound vehicle ran a red light and plowed into a 29-year-old’s westbound SUV before 2:30 a.m. Thursday. The impact caused the SUV to roll, but the driver only suffered cuts and scrapes.
Both women were treated at the scene by paramedics then released.
The collision remains under investigation.
