VICKSBURG (WKZO-AM) — Sunset Lake Beach in Vicksburg remains closed to bathers.
Test results taken this week show that levels of E.coli in the water remain above acceptable levels. Kalamazoo County health officials are warning the public that contact with the water could result in illness.
The beach has been posted with warning signs. Health officials will be at the lake taking new samples Wednesday. They could know by Thursday morning if the beach will be open for the Fourth of July weekend.
The lake has been flagged twice this month.
