VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A 24-year-old man from Dowagiac has died in a single vehicle crash in the 70000 block of County Road 681 in Lawrence Township.
Deputies are investigating to determine why the silver passenger car went out of control and began to rollover just before 8:00 a.m. Sunday. Arriving deputies found the 24-year-old driver dead in the badly-damaged vehicle.
The 25-year-old passenger was alive and conscious and had to be extracted from the vehicle. Once freed, he was taken to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies won’t release the names until family members have been notified.
