HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WKZO-AM) — An Allegan County man has been charged with two counts of murder in North Carolina, a crime they say he committed without stepping foot in that state.
They claim 32-year-old Randy Nead of Pullman sent heroin by Federal Express to John Tucker and Leonard Lefford, who were staying at a Henderson County motel. They overdosed on the drugs and died in February, leaving evidence of the shipment in the room.
Henderson County Sheriff’s spokesman Frank Stout said Nead was extradited on two counts of second-degree murder and drug distribution counts.
Nead could get up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
