KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Around 30 local officials are expected to meet at the Kalamazoo Public Library on Thursday to discuss ways to reduce community violence.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller said the conversation is being prompted by the February shooting spree in Kalamazoo that left six dead and the terrorist attack in Orlando over the weekend, where 49 were killed.
“We’ve had these conversations for a while,” Fuller said. “In the last six months, it has been decided for us.”
The meeting is set to get underway at 9:15 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
