BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek police are investigating a shooting in the first block of Clair Street that sent a 25-year-old resident to the emergency room at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The man was treated and released with what was described as a minor wound.
Police had responded to the scene following a report of shots fired at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
Another car was dispatched to the hospital a few minutes later when the victim arrived by private vehicle.
There apparently are no suspects.
