BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A domestic dispute that ended with a stabbing in the 200 block of Laurel Drive in Battle Creek on Saturday night has put one man in the hospital and a relative in jail.
Police say they were dispatched to the scene of the assault and found an adult male with a stab wound suffering from a collapsed lung at about 10 p.m. He was delivered by ambulance to Bronson Methodist Hosptial in Kalamazoo for emergency treatment.
His condition was not released.
Detectives were able to identify a suspect and arrested him a few hours later in Bedford Township. Police are not saying how the two were related.
The suspect is being held at the Calhoun County Jail on an attempted murder charge pending arraignment.
