KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Talons Out Honor Flight is planning to take over 80 local war veterans to Washington D.C. next Saturday.
Dan Moyle is with the non-profit and says World War II and Korean War vets will make the journey.
“All those Korean War veterans are beginning to start flying with us now,” Moyle said. “We’re starting to have seats.”
He says they’ll tour several of the city’s memorials.
“Our nation’s capital has some of the most-amazing monuments and tributes to our veterans and those who were left behind, so we take them there to show them that,” Moyle said. “So, we take them there to show them that and it’s a free trip for them.”
A welcome home event is planned that night at Wings Event Center.
