KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo Wings have signed a one-year affiliation deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL.
The agreement will send some of the Lightning’s top prospects to Kalamazoo. It will also send prospects to Kalamazoo from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
The Lightning were just one win away from a berth in the Stanley Cup Finals.
It’s the 11th NHL affiliation in the K-Wings’ 43-year history.
