HASTINGS (WKZO-AM) — A man has been released from Spectrum Health Pennock Hospital in Hastings after he was struck in the head with a shovel during a domestic dispute.
Barry County Sheriff’s investigators say he was hit with the weapon after he rammed his vehicle into a parked car. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident in the 1900 block of Brookfield Drive after 8 p.m. Sunday.
At this stage, it’s not clear what exactly prompted the man to strike the car.
Prosecutors are considering whether to file felonious assault and malicious destruction of property charges.
