DOWAGIAC (WKZO-AM) — Police have jailed a man on a felony assault charge after he allegedly slashed another person multiple times with a knife at a Dowagiac bar.
It happened in the 100 block of Beeson Street on Saturday. Investigators say 28-year-old Donte Lofton pulled the weapon during an altercation, then tried to leave the scene before officers arrived.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Lofton is being held at the Cass County Jail on $10,000 bond.
