KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The 13th-biennial Gilmore Keyboard Festival begins Tuesday in Kalamazoo.
Spokesperson Mary McCormick says they’re expecting thousands to attend the nearly 100 concerts and programs across 20 locations.
“There will be well over 200 artists, when you consider the four different symphonies that are part of our keyboard festival,” McCormick said. “In addition, we have probably 55 different international artists.”
It starts Tuesday with a dinner at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and a performance at the Parish Theatre by jazz pianist Dick Hyman.
Pink Martini, which bills itself as a “little orchestra,” will play Chenery Auditorium on Wednesday.
